Pax 1 Temperature Settings
Pax 1 have 4 temperature settings to choose from. For beginners, it would be best to start with a low temperature setting and work your way up. Setting the temperature is easy. Simply push the mouthpiece button and you will see the petals light up. The number of petals lighting up will indicate the temperature setting of the device. To exit the temperature control setting, simply shake the device.
How to Load
If not already shredded, grind your herb using an herb grinder. Make sure you ground it thoroughly but not too much. A moderate grind is perfect. Open the oven lid and carefully pack your herb in. Make sure not to pack too tightly. It is recommended to pack it halfway or you can also pack it all the way up but make sure your herbs will go over the oven lid. Pack it down again before replacing the oven lid.
Turning On the Device
Push the mouthpiece button gently to turn on the device. Take note that pushing the button too hard can release the mouthpiece since is spring loaded. A hard press and quick release will make the mouthpiece pop up.
Drawing on Pax 1
Once turned on, you will notice that the petals will pulse. This indicates that the oven is heating up. It usually takes 30 seconds to 1 minute for the oven to completely heat up. Once ready take a firm 2-3 second hit from your device and allow a few seconds between draws to allow the vapor to accumulate in the oven. Longer and stronger draws won’t mean you will get more vapor.
When you see less vapor and the vapor quality taste less, try to increase the temperature settings to make the most out of your vaping experience. You will know when the load is done when there’s no more vapor.
Pax 1 Maintenance
If you notice a decrease in the quality of vapor, your device is probably due for cleaning. To clean your device, pop out the mouthpiece and the oven lid. Here you will see the oven screen. The screen plays an important role in the quality of the vapor. Using a pipe cleaner, apply isopropyl alcohol using a flossing motion on the vapor path. This will help you pop out the screen. Soak the screen in isopropyl alcohol and let it dry. You can also clean the mouthpiece in the same manner. Take note, the oven lid is not cleaned using alcohol.
Turning off the Device
To turn off the device, gently push down the mouthpiece button halfway. This will prevent the mouthpiece from popping out. You might miss it on the first try but after you have become familiar with it you should be able to turn off the device easily.
