Since marijuana is just getting legalized in different countries, it is our responsibility as users to make sure that we are capable of being in charge of ourselves even after the effects of cannabis takes effect.
Here are some things we should consider for responsible cannabis use:
- Usage of Cannabis on legal age.
– This one is very basic. If you are using cannabis for recreational purposes, make sure you are at a legal age. If you are under the legal age, cannabis use for medical purposes requires legal papers and parental guidance.
- Avoid driving any motorized vehicle.
– We know that cannabis is safer than alcohol but responsible cannabis consumers should never operate motorized vehicles. The effects of cannabis can hinder you from driving safely and may cause accidents. It’s not only for your own good but also for the safety of the general public.
- Resist abuse
– Abuse means harm. Some cannabis use is harmful; most is not. That which is harmful should be discouraged; that which is not needed not to be.
- Public safety is at risk.
– We are using cannabis to relax, unwind, and enjoy. Some are even using it for their ailments and recovery. Be responsible enough and never let the public feel threatened when you are high. If possible, stay at home and wait to be fully recovered first before going in public places.
These are only some of the things we consider to be responsible cannabis consumers. There are many other points to take note of if we want cannabis to be accepted by everyone and legalized everywhere.
Being a responsible cannabis user should always be at the forefront. What other things do you think users should be especially considerate of when using cannabis?
